Allocation Reason

Documents the reason why a user or device has been allocated to a license.

tip

You can edit the allocation reason inline. If an allocation already exists, the allocation reason is added to the allocation after it is entered. If no allocation exists, an allocation will be created after the allocation reason is entered. The default allocation type Allocated will be applied.

The Allocation reason property can be added and edited in the Consumption tab of a license, and in the Apply Allocation & Exemptions allocate wizard.
