Issue: Functionality Disabled

Problem

Creation of new computer records, whether manually in IT Asset Management or automatically from imported computer inventories, has been disabled.

Cause

Either or both of the following:

  • The number of active computers (excluding 'Remote Devices') recorded in your inventory has exceeded the number authorized by your subscription to the IT Asset Management cloud service.

    note

    From the time when the number of active computers exceeded 95% of the authorized number, a warning was displayed in Flexera One.

  • Where servers are separately licensed, the number of active servers recorded in your inventory now exceeds the number authorized by your IT Asset Management license.

To review the list of currently active computers, navigate to the IT Assets License page (Administration > IT Asset Management Settings > IT Assets License) and click the hyperlinked number against Number of active devices.

Fix

Either:

  • Contact your Flexera representative to purchase a license extension

  • Reduce the number of active computers in your IT Asset Management records

  • Where servers are separately licensed, reduce the number of active servers in your IT Asset Management records.
